“The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mystical. It is the source of all true art and science.”
- Albert Einstein
So this website is dedicated to bringing the mystical closer to you through filmed interviews of everyday people that have experienced brushes with what Einstein
calls ‘the mystical’, and you can call whatever you want; God, the infinite, the power within you etc.
It takes courage to share these experiences so please view them with the respect and open mind that you would have if it was your close friend sharing with you their
intensely private experience. It helps to watch one interview in one sitting to savour the experience.
How can I see a miracle?
Miracles happen to everyone everyday, however most people don’t see miracles because they are simply not looking for them. Think about how you ‘suddenly’ start to notice a
particular model of car on the road that interests you; they (that particular model) don’t ‘suddenly’ start driving past you, they were doing it all the time; it was the
direction of your concentration that determined whether you saw them or not! Similarly we can experience miracles simply by being aware, by looking closely at what happens around us.
“We only see what we believe is real”
- Dr. Candace Pert
Dr. Pert (who has an international reputation in the field of neuropeptide and receptor pharmacology, and chemical neuroanatomy) illustrates this point nicely when she relates the
story of when Columbus sailed to the new world. The Native Americans were unable to see his tall ships because they had no experience of Clipper ships before. Eventually a shaman
(native holy man) noticed large ripples in the water which he could not explain; by observing the ripples he was eventually able to see the ships. Similarly we can study the unusual
ripples in our everyday life, which can lead us to miracles... that have been happening all around us, all the time.
“The whole history of science has been the gradual realization that events do not happen in an arbitrary manner, but that they reflect a certain underlying order, which may or may
not be divinely inspired.”
- Stephen W. Hawking
